The Pick of the Patch 🎃

Have fun this fall by visiting one of the pumpkin patches within the Bay Area. We’ve listed a few of our favorites! Aside from finding the right pumpkin, enjoy other fun attractions like a hayride, train ride, corn maze, and more.

Petaluma Pumpkin Patch (450 Stony Point Road // Petaluma)

The Petaluma Pumpkin Patch and Amazing Corn Maze offer a recess from the everyday hustle and bustle. Enjoy the fresh air, farm life, strolling through the maze, and picking pumpkins.

The Guardsmen Pumpkin Patch (2 Marina Blvd // Fort Mason)

Have tons of fun with family and friends at one of SF’s newest pumpkin patches! The Guardsmen is a nonprofit organization in the Bay Area. This year you can join them at Fort Mason Center — all proceeds will go to their at-risk youth programs!  Free admission and various prices for additional activities and products. (Oct 13 – 23)

Andreotti Family Farms Pumpkin Patch + Corn Maze (800 Cabrillo Hwy // Half Moon Bay)

A family operation that has continued to tend to their land for three generations. Over 90 years old, they now produce various winter vegetables. They are passionate about their pumpkins and look forward to visitors at their Pumpkin Patch during the Fall.

Lemos Farm (12320 San Mateo Rd // Half Moon Bay)

During September and October come to join in Lemos Farm’s Halloween extravaganza. They really know how to highlight the use of pumpkins. Enjoy a scoop of pumpkin ice cream or a slice of either pumpkin pie or pumpkin bread while riding the ghost train.

If you’ve been hesitant to list your house because you’re worried no one’s buying, or if you’re a buyer watching the market to understand the best time to buy, here’s your sign it may be time to talk with an agent. With falling mortgage rates bringing more buyers back into the market, now is the perfect opportunity for both sellers and buyers to make a move!

Many potential buyers are holding off on purchasing a home, anticipating that mortgage rates will drop even further. The common belief is that lower rates will make homes more affordable and provide better financing terms. This wait-and-see approach is based on the hope that a lower rate will save money over the life of the loan and make homeownership more attainable.

The seasonal impact on the market is as you might expect, a little slower. With many leaving on vacations, the number of homes on and coming to market reduces and open houses aren’t as packed. That doesn’t mean the market is on vacation though; quite the opposite! There's a wave of new buyers entering the market alongside those already in the market.
