Who Doesn’t Want To Be In Hawaii?🌺

This September, a group of about eighty Elite KW agents from the Northern California/Hawaii region of Keller Williams gathered together to brainstorm about ways to improve our services. This was the first time this group was convened. It didn’t hurt that the convention was in Hawaii. We met at the Honolulu Elks Lodge, and at Outrigger Waikiki Resort. I’m not complaining.

I’ll admit it can be difficult to focus on business when outside is the most beautiful sky and sea and mountains imaginable. But focus we did. Much of our discussion centered on how to maintain highest standards in our industry.  Key to that is treating all listings and sales as a Luxury transactions, at the highest level. Did you know Keller Williams sells more luxury properties than any other real estate company? We are number one in the global luxury market. Brady Sandhal leads the Luxury division of Keller Williams. Brady exudes luxury. It was such a pleasure to learn from him about ways to treat clients

Another important connection was made with Dan Ihara.  Dan is a top Keller Williams agent in Hawaii, and is leading our company in a special targeted certification program (REP). Known as Real Estate Planner, this certification is designed specifically for the unique needs of baby boomers.

This certification is only available for qualified Elite KW agents, and provides specialized training in Senior Relocation, 1031 Exchange, Trust and Probate Sales and more. Turns out, this is perfect timing as I am currently planning an online seminar to deal with issues confronting baby boomers, starting in January. You are the very first to know!

Hey Keller Williams, more seminars in Hawaii, please!

Besides getting some fantastic ideas from the training, of course we spent some personal time to enjoy Oahu. We rented a Tesla and made our way around the island to absorb some of the best of Paradise. We followed recommendations from friends who have lived in Hawaii. Great food, great beaches, great scenery! One particular hike was memorable: we walked up to the top of Koko Head Crater. The trail is straight up, 1048 railroad tie “steps” that climb 880 feet in .75 of a mile. It was exhausting, but well worth the sunset views. In all, we had a blast! If you’ve been hesitant to list your house because you’re worried no one’s buying, or if you’re a buyer watching the market to understand the best time to buy, here’s your sign it may be time to talk with an agent. With falling mortgage rates bringing more buyers back into the market, now is the perfect opportunity for both sellers and buyers to make a move!

Many potential buyers are holding off on purchasing a home, anticipating that mortgage rates will drop even further. The common belief is that lower rates will make homes more affordable and provide better financing terms. This wait-and-see approach is based on the hope that a lower rate will save money over the life of the loan and make homeownership more attainable.

Our recent travels took us on a journey through three distinct landscapes—each offering its own unique experiences and memories. From the bustling streets of Atlanta to the serene beaches of Santa Barbara, and finally, to the rugged trails of the Sierra Nevada, it was a trip full of relaxation, exploration, and a few surprises along the way.

The seasonal impact on the market is as you might expect, a little slower. With many leaving on vacations, the number of homes on and coming to market reduces and open houses aren’t as packed. That doesn’t mean the market is on vacation though; quite the opposite! There's a wave of new buyers entering the market alongside those already in the market.
